Bananas with Rum and Cream
Bananes au Rhum et à la Crème

A touch of exotism.

Serves: 6

Preheat oven at 375ºF. Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise. Rub lemon juice over them. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large frying pan; place the bananas into the pan; sprinkle with sugar and rum; cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Arrange the bananas and the juices from the pan in an oven-proof dish; spread the creme fraiche over the fruit; sprinkle with sliced almonds; dot with butter. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

Choose bananas that are not too ripe so they do not break into pieces.
