Crepe Gateau with Crab
Gâteau de Crêpes au Crabe
A Recipe From: Brittany
A tasty, showy appetizer. Use our Batter for Sweet Crêpes recipe to make your crêpes from scratch or pick up a box of Francine crêpe mix.

Skill Level: Easy
Serves: 4

Mix the crab meat and the mayonnaise; add the chives, curry powder, salt and pepper to taste. Whip the cream and carefully fold into the crab mixture. Set on crêpe on a serving platter; spread some crab mixture onto the crêpe, cover with a lettuce leaf, spread more crab mixture and top with another crêpe. Repeat 6 times, finishing with the last crêpe on top. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.

Sylvaine's tips
If making your crêpes from scratch, make sure to omit the flavoring in the recipe (rum, vanilla, orange flower water...) For this gâteau de crêpes au crabe, you want the crêpes themselves to be plain.
