Yogurt Cake with Italian Plums
Gateau au Yaourt et aux Quetches
A great starter recipe for children, enjoyed by all.

Serves: 6

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Empty the yogurt into a bowl. Clean and dry the container; use it to measure the balance of the ingredients. Whisk all ingredients together (except butter and plums) to obtain a smooth batter. Butter an oven proof dish, scatter the plums in the dish and pour the batter over the fruits. Bake for 30 minutes.

One of the easiest cakes to make! I use a container of Yoplait, vanilla or lemon flavor. Use seasonal fruits of your choosing: apples, pears, peaches...

One 6 oz container of plain yogurt
(the container is used to measure other ingredients)
2 containers of flour
2 containers of sugar
1/2 container of vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp butter
1 lb Italian plums, pitted and halved
